Plant Health Care
Landscape Evaluation
Very often I am asked to walkthrough landscapes and evaluate plant health and prescribe recommendations for improvement. These evaluations may be followed up with a customized plant health care program estimate.
Insect/Mite Control
Insects and mites are present in our landscapes and trees, some causing injury that can warrant control measures. Knowing species, tolerance, infestation severity, and other factors will determine our course of action.
Bed Maintenance
Weeds are unwanted vegetation, and in landscapes they compete with desired plants for nutrients, water, and light. Not to mention they are unappealing to look at. Bed maintenance applications can be incorporated to keep areas and planting beds healthy and pristine.
Planting
Planting of trees and shrubs is also available. Selections can be based on your input and designs, or our custom recommendations. Our recommendations are based on location, insect and disease pressure, maintenance requirements, and desired aesthetics.
Inventories
For larger residential properties, municipalities, and commercial properties tree and landscape inventories may be developed. Having a clear picture of species, locations, current health, and other categories, can make property management more efficient and comprehensive.
Disease Control
Diseases within our landscapes and trees are often recurring and complex. Their effects range from minor cosmetic symptoms, to severe dieback and death of plants and trees. Some diseases can be treated for with a variety of treatments and horticultural amendments. Our goal is a reduction in symptoms, as eradication of disease is unlikely and can often be influenced by weather.
Pruning
Our pruning services are somewhat limited, as they include only work that can be completed from the ground. That being said, ornamental tree pruning, structural pruning of young trees, and removal of dead or diseased limbs are common practices we provide.
